Technical Background

Traditional industrial fuel, such as fixed bed coal gas, heavy oil, natural gas, etc, has been widely used in enterprises in a very long period of time, but it exists some formidable disadvantages: large amounts of tar and phenol water in fixed bed coal gas production; serious harm of acid rain due to heavy oil combustion; higher use cost of natural gas.

Compared with the traditional fuel, coal gas production from circulating fluidized bed coal gasification technology can obviously replace the traditional industrial fuel due to the following technical advantages: low-rank coal as feedstock, no tar and phenol water in coal gas production, sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides meeting emission standard, no acid rain, the cost is much lower than the natural gas ( In conditions of the same calorific value, clean coal gas cost is only 40%~60% of natural gas cost).

Technology Introduction

Circulating fluidized bed coal gasification technology follows fluidization engineering principle and improves gas yield, gasification intensity and coal utilization efficiency of crushed coal gasification by the reasonable furnace structure to strengthen internal circulation, gas-solid separator to improve external circulation and recycle chamber to recycle char for secondary gasification.

Technical Advantages

  • Low investment cost: only ~40% of similar foreign technology cost;
  • Low operation cost: crushed coal as feedstock, high gasification efficiency;
  • Strong coal adaptability: inferior coal as feedstock;
  • No tar, no phenol cyanogens pollutant;
  • Low dust content: dust content in coal gas after bag filter <20mg·Nm-3;
  • Low nitrogen oxides emissions: 50~150ppm;
  • Low hydrogen sulfide emission: ≤20mg· Nm-3;
  • High comprehensive utilization efficiency: fly ash is collected to be used as boiler fuel, slag as the raw material of cement and building materials, the overall coal comprehensive utilization efficiency is up to 90%.
