Application
Coal gasifier can be widely used in furnaces in different industries, such as metallurgy, nonferrous metals, chemicals, building materials, glass, ceramics, fire-resistant materials, lime firing, kaolin and graphite drying. Producer gas has the advantages of abundant coal resources and relative lower costs compared with natural gas and LPG.
Gasification principle
Single stage coal gasifier is a kind of equipment, in which coal can be converted into coal gas(main compositions are CO, H2,CH4 etc.). Gasifier inside can be divided into ash layer, oxidation layer, reduction layer, drying layer and empty layer. Gasification agent (air+steam) goes into inside of gasifier and reacts with coal, the following chemical reactions take place in oxidation layer and reduction layer:
C+O2=CO2+Q C+CO2=2CO-Q
C+H2O=CO+H2-Q C+2H2O=CO2+2H2-Q CO+H2O=CO2+H2+Q

Selection of stokers
Manual control: first down bell closed, up bell opened. After coal is filled in stoker, up bell will be closed, down bell will be opened, coal can be filled inside gasifier evenly through coal distributor. Finally down bell will be closed, coal filling is completed. This structure has the advantages of easy operation and well seal, it can prevent gas release efficiently.
Auto control:large capacity triplet type full-automatic stoker group will be adopted. The quantity of filled coal can be adjusted automatically as per gas output. Gas tightness of stoker is good, and it is easy to operate. This stoker structure is developed by our company based on summarizing advantages of various types of gasifiers in China.
Technical process of single stage hot coal gas station
Single stage hot coal gasifier: it is mainly used for gasifying less-glutinosity bituminous coal, anthracite and coking coal. Bituminous coal can also be used if the user has no requirements on tar, dust and hydrogen sulfide in gas.
Advantages: small investment, short construction time.
Disadvantages: pipelines and burners are easy to be blocked by tar and dust in gas, gas conveying distance is short.
Technical process of single stage cold coal gas station
Single stage hot coal gasifier: it is mainly used for gasifying anthracite and coking coal. Only simple purification is needed to remove tar and dust due to less tar content in anthracite and coking coal. At present, more such gasifiers are used in the area, in which coal of superior quality is produced, but the price of anthracite is higher than bituminous coal, and gas heat value of anthracite is lower than gas heat value produced by bituminous coal.
Advantages:
A, small investment, short construction time.
B, gas pipelines are not easy to be blocked, long gas conveying distance can be achieved by gas booster.
Disadvantages: coal price is higher, gas heat value is lower.
